All Wee Wee'd Up

By now you have probably heard the term the President used the other day about people in Washington getting all “wee wee’d up”. It is a ridiculous little phrase that really has no meaning other than it being an expression. It has however caught the attention of the nation and perhaps the world and people are talking about the phraseology. Isn’t there more important things to talk about? We as people seemed to get sidetracked on the stupidest of things.

To answer the question, getting wee wee’d up, at least from my knowledge of the term, comes from the cocaine world. Being wee wee’d up is being high on cocaine. It would have meant the same if he had said everyone gets all tweaked. It really doesn’t matter. All the president was saying is that everyone is getting hyper and paranoid. He is saying people are overreacting and acting unnecessarily paranoid. I would assume, not having seen the whole clip, that he is referring to all of the dissent to his legislative agenda.

The fact that people have grabbed onto this phrase shows just how wee wee’d up some people are right now. It’s not just this phrase though. People have been getting tweaked about Presidential phraseology for a long time. Remember the flap over strategery? That was a Bush moment that the press and people grabbed onto. I still here that word bandied about on talk radio quite regularly to the point where Bush might have even created a word that will end up in the dictionary.

When I first heard someone say he said this, I thought he was just saying in a non swear way that people get pissed off. Now after seeing more of it, I see that it is the phrase from the drug world about getting high. This is why so many are wondering what the heck he is talking about. The percentage of people who would have heard this phrase is rather small. I think it is also a bit of our inner child showing. It’s like, ‘He said wee wee, hehe he.’

Ok, it was funny for a day that the President said wee wee. I think it is time to move on. There are certainly more important things to report than the President saying wee wee. It’s becoming a distraction. While all the talking heads are talking about wee wee, there are far more important things that the public needs to hear about. Leave thee wee wee for places like this where we can waste our time if we want to and it doesn’t really matter much.
