Peace or Problems?

ROM2: 8-11
"But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the gentile; But glory, honor, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first and unto the gentile:  For there is no respecter of persons with God."

The Liberty Bible Commentary says "Those who create a spirit of rivalry or factionalism have promised to them indignation, wrath (a sudden outburst of anger), tribulation (affliction), and anguish (distress)."  We see many people in this day and age that are doing nothing but causing division among people.  They try and divide people racially, ethnically, politically, sexually, economically, and any other way they can.  They can be seen on any news program.  The results of their words and actions destroy lives and communities, cause strife and discord, and create anger and hatred.  They claim to be doing the right thing but the fruit of their tree is easy to see.

Their lives are spent angrily fighting causes. They are constantly distressed by someone's anguish.  I see many in the blogoshpere like this as well.  Their writings full of anger and hatred.  Their words are attacking and divisive.  I often wonder how these people feel when they get up in the morning?  How can these people live their lives always being mad and upset?  Not much of a life if you ask me.

Fortunately there is a better way.  One can follow the way of Jesus, which leads to glory, honor, and peace.  Following His path leads to healing of hurts, and closing of differences.  It brings peoples and communities together in love.  It passes on goodwill to others.  It brings assistance to the needy and makes friends with the friendless.  That better way sees things without divide "For there is no respecter of persons with God"

God deals in both condemnation and salvation without favoritism.  We are all equal in the eyes of God.  We are all sinners, separated from God, needing to be redeemed to our maker, black or white, male or female, democrat or republican, rich or poor.

Is your life full of strife or peace?  Is it full of indignation or honor?  Are you tired of being angry all day?  There is a better way.  Believe that Jesus is who he said he was, the Son of God.  Believe that he did what he says He did, be a sacrifice for our sins, our sins that separate us from the peace of God.  Learn and follow His teachings. Bring the blessings of honor, glory and peace into your life and cast away the cursings of tribulation and wrath.  Choose ye this day who you will serve.  As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
