Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this
very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until
the day of Jesus Christ:
During our life we run into periods where we feel really run down; times where it feels like a huge struggle just to get up out of bed and face the day. We can’t seem to see where our life is heading. It feels like we are getting nowhere and just spinning our wheels.
We run into times where we don’t seem to feel God’s presence. It seems like He is a million zillion miles away and could care less about what is going on in our lives. Things don’t seem to be going the way we wanted or planned.
It is times like the aforementioned that we have to take a hold of the word of God and believe it by faith. Despite the trials we go through, the struggles we face, or the indifference we may feel, we can rest assured that God is continually working in your life performing that good work which He began.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Every situation we find ourselves in as called believers who love God is part of that overall good work. I know it may not seem like it at the time, and can in fact seem like quite the opposite, we can fully trust that God is using circumstances toward our long term benefit. Every situation is both a learning experience and an opportunity. We can learn more about our Lord in every experience by taking the opportunity to apply His word, and believe His word.
For the true believer in Chirst, life is no longer a series of will nilly unrelated events that take us from moment to moment, but instead an interwoven pattern put together to show the attributes of God to us and through us. We then become reflectors of God’s light to others when we act by faith in His word in every situation.
2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
