Now when I talk about evolution, I am not talking about dog breeding, of cow breeding; I am talking about the neo-Darwinian view of the world that all life in the world sprang from non-life and evolved into the great diversity of life we see. I am talking about those that tell us the universe came into being by accident after some infinitesimally small point of all mass exploded and accidentally formed into the starts and planets in space.
This evolution is in direct conflict with God and his creation. It discludes God from creation. The whole evolutionary concept was dreamed up as an alternative to creation, and it was a seed planted by the devil himself into the mind of a man. A mere idea that was floated out there in combination with a man whose heart was set against God has turned into the greatest blasphemy and cause of apostation in the history of the world.
The credited human father of this was a man Named Charles Lyell. In his private correspondence, Lyell admitted to the strongly anti-biblical (“anti-Mosaical”) nature of his ideas. In 1829, just a few months prior to the publication of the first volume of his Principles of Geology, Lyell wrote, in a letter to fellow old-earth geologist Roderick Murchison:
I trust I shall make my sketch of the progress of geology popular. Old [Rev. John] Fleming is frightened and thinks the age will not stand my anti-Mosaical conclusions and at least that the subject will for a time become unpopular and awkward for the clergy, but I am not afraid. I shall out with the whole but in as conciliatory a manner as possible
Lyell’s ideas on geology influenced
Charles Darwin to think in terms of millions of years, paving the way for his
theory of evolution. (Image from Voyage that Shook the World)
By the following year, we see that
Charles Lyell has a clear agenda, i.e. to “free the science from Moses”. That is what Lyell wrote on 14th June 1830 in a
letter to George Poulett Scrope:
I am sure you may get into Q.R. [Quarterly Review]
what will free the science from Moses, for if treated seriously, the
[church] party are quite prepared for it. A bishop, Buckland ascertained (we
suppose [Bishop] Sumner), gave Ure a dressing in the British Critic and
Theological Review. They see at last the mischief and scandal brought on
them by Mosaic systems … . Probably there was a beginning—it is a metaphysical
question, worthy of a theologian—probably there will be an end. Species, as you
say, have begun and ended—but the analogy is faint and distant. Perhaps it is
an analogy, but all I say is, there are, as Hutton said, ‘no signs of a
beginning, no prospect of an end’ … . All I ask is, that at any given period of
the past, don’t stop inquiry when puzzled by refuge to a ‘beginning,’ which is
all one with ‘another state of nature,’ as it appears to me. But there is no
harm in your attacking me, provided you point out that it is the proof I deny,
not the probability of a beginning … . I was afraid to point the moral, as much
as you can do in the Q.R. about Moses. Perhaps I should have been tenderer
about the Koran. Don’t meddle much with that, if at all.
If we don’t irritate, which I fear that we may (though mere
history), we shall carry all with us. If you don’t triumph over them, but
compliment the liberality and candour of the present age, the bishops and
enlightened saints will join us in despising both the ancient and modern
physico-theologians. It is just the time to strike, so rejoice that, sinner as
you are, the Q.R. is open to you.
Lyell’s secretive scheming not only
deceived the church to accept his false ideas that undermined the Gospel, but
he set geology on a wrong path for over a century
P.S. … I conceived the idea five or six years ago [1824–25],
that if ever the Mosaic geology could be set down without giving offense, it
would be in an historical sketch, and you must abstract mine, in order to have
as little to say as possible yourself. Let them feel it, and point the moral.”
Lyell and his subsequent followers have deceived millions of people into
believing there is no God and the bible is just a myth. His teachings have led untold millions away
from God and out of the churches. The
bible, being the word of God it is, prophesied of this coming day 2000 years
ago. It is by prophecy, if by any other
means, that proves the Bible is truly the inspired word of God, for no other
can predict the future with such accuracy.2 Peter 3: 3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
Anyone who has debated with an evolutionist knows that their every word drips with scoff. They walk after their own lust because, in their minds, they are convinced in evolution and that the word of God is a fairy tale. They say the most horrid things about God and those who believe in Him. Since there is no God, there is also no accountability for their actions, no one to answer to but themselves and their fellow man, who is now elevated to god status.
One of Lyell’s main points in his teachings is that, “the present is the key to the past.” In his view, “all things continue as they were from the beginning”. This universalist assumption is the basis for almost all of science to this day. This assumption also denies, as Lyell set out to do, the Mosaic flood story. Everything must have taken millions of years, not the thousands the bible teaches.
His teaching also led to the Darwinian idea of survival of the fittest, which in the last 150 years has led to untold atrocities worldwide as mass genocides were undertaken so that the more evolved humans could progress onward in their evolution to being a master race, pure and perfect in every way.
As predicted in scripture, they deny the flood ever took place, “5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water, 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:”
This is another great sign the we are indeed in the last days for it is in the lst days that these things were to take place. We know though that we have a more certain hope in Jesus Christ. Guard your hearts and you minds. If it were possible this could deceive even the elect. But we now have a new mind that is in Christ Jesus, who day by day renews your mind and makes your more Christ-like with each passing hour.
Romans 8: 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
